Method
- Gather all ingredients and prepare toppings by washing and slicing vegetables.
- Divide ground beef into four equal portions (about 4 ounces each) and roll into loose balls.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil until shimmering.
- Place beef balls in the skillet, spacing them apart, and smash each ball down with a spatula to form patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties for 2-3 minutes without moving them to form a crust, then flip and add cheese on top. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Warm tortillas in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the burger by placing a cheese-topped patty on each tortilla and adding desired toppings.
- Wrap the tortilla by folding in the sides and rolling from the bottom. Cut in half and serve immediately.
