Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Increase heat to medium-high and add ground beef or lamb. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.
Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add frozen peas and remove from heat.
In a large pot, cover potatoes with cold water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
Drain potatoes and return to pot. Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.
