Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Ground beef Choose lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For sautéing onions and garlic.

  • 1 packet Taco seasoning mix Essential for classic taco flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Water Helps create a saucy mixture.

  • 8 pieces Taco shells Choose between hard or soft shells.
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce Adds crunch and freshness.

  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend for cheesy goodness.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Balances the spices and adds richness.

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning mix over the beef, pour in water, and stir to combine. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • While the beef simmers, prepare taco shells. For hard shells, preheat oven and warm them for 5-7 minutes. For soft tortillas, warm in a skillet or microwave.
  • Assemble tacos by spooning the seasoned beef mixture into each taco shell. Add toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, avocado, sour cream, and cilantro.
