Method
- Choose the right cut of steak based on your cooking method: ribeye for grilling, sirloin for searing, and chuck roast for braising.
- Marinate your steak for at least 30 minutes using olive oil, garlic, and herbs for enhanced flavor.
- Prepare side dishes while the steak marinates, such as garlic mashed potatoes or grilled vegetables.
- For grilled steak, preheat the grill and cook the ribeye steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- For seared steak, heat a skillet and cook the sirloin steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- For braised steak, heat vegetable oil in a pot, brown the chuck roast, then add onion, garlic, beef broth, red wine, carrots, thyme, and bay leaves. Simmer for 2-3 hours until tender.
- Let the cooked steak rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
- Slice against the grain and serve with your prepared side dishes.
