Method
- Wash the strawberries gently under cool water and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
- Set up a double boiler by filling a saucepan with water and bringing it to a gentle simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top and add the semi-sweet chocolate and coconut oil (if using). Stir until melted and smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place the dipped strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- If using, melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the chocolate-covered strawberries using a fork or piping bag.
- Sprinkle with sprinkles or chopped nuts while the chocolate is still wet.
- Refrigerate the strawberries for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
- Serve the chocolate-covered strawberries on a decorative platter and enjoy!
