  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Base for the cookies.
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Adds chocolate flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder Leavening agent.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened for creaming.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Sweetener for the cookies.
  • 1 large Egg Binds ingredients together.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Adds flavor.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips For bursts of chocolate.
  • 1/4 cup Heart-Shaped Sprinkles For decoration.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and heart-shaped sprinkles.
  • Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
