Description

A quick and delicious meal featuring steak and shrimp stir-fried with noodles and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Follow the package instructions to cook the noodles. Drain and set aside.
  2. Marinate: In a bowl, combine the sliced steak and shrimp with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté Steak and Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the marinated steak and shrimp. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the shrimp are pink and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Add Garlic and Ginger: Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant. Mix in Noodles and Vegetables: Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet along with the cooked noodles. Toss everything together to combine and heat through. Garnish: Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
