Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 soft burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy lettuce shredded
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 4 pickles sliced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, season ground beef with salt and pepper. Gently form into four equal-sized patties, creating a small indentation in each center.
  2. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat (375°F–400°F).
  3. Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side until nicely browned and internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. Assemble burgers with buns, patties, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use 80/20 ground beef for juicy texture. Avoid pressing patties while cooking. Let rest a few minutes before serving. Add bacon, avocado, or your favorite sauces to customize.
